Jonathan practices in the areas of workouts, bankruptcy litigation and commercial litigation, including complex construction cases.  His practice includes representation of financial institutions, commercial landlords, secured creditors, debtors and equity holders in reorganization cases.  He represented the Chapter 7 trustee in the largest Maryland retail bankruptcy with over $150,000,000 in distributions and successfully confirmed the plan of a Virginia NASDAQ e-commerce company.  He has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts, representing insurance companies, banks, school districts and other creditors in commercial litigation involving construction, commercial leases, credit obligations and shareholders’ rights.  His appellate practice includes: bankruptcy appeals to federal courts; federal appeals to the Second and Fourth Circuit Courts of Appeals; and state appeals to the First and Second Appellate Divisions in New York.
